If you wonder how to implement international standards on land acquisition and involuntary resettlement, then this course is meant for you.
This course is intended for people involved in land acquisition and resettlement for natural resource development projects such as mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, but also infrastructure and any other project requiring land acquisition, as well as for specialists in social performance, project or risk managers, community relations and liaison officers, government authorities and NGOs.
Course participants will be provided with practical resettlement management tools and methodologies that can be immediately implemented on their projects. The sessions will use an interactive approach to facilitate practical training, based on direct exchanges between participants and trainers. The course will be mainly based on practical cases of projects in West Africa.
The course will be delivered in French by Frédéric Giovannetti and Ellen De Keyser.
Frédéric Giovannetti is a resettlement consultant with more than 35 years of international experience, especially in West Africa.
Ellen De Keyser is an experienced resettlement consultant and director of Intersocial Consulting and has considerable experience in managing resettlement projects, including in West Africa.
