Influence to ASEAN country after US implemented EITI?

One question that I propose to have a discuss with you all is "what are the affect and influence to ASEAN (country that have not been EIIT's membership) after US implemented EITI?"

Thank you Cheng for raising the question. It's indeed tremendously significant in term of building confidence of countries that are now still considering EITI. But it depends on, among other things, how US government delivers its promise. I would say 30-40 percent of government decision on this is contributed by international or regional supportive factor, and the rest of it is domestic. Warm regards from Jakarta-Bangka
