sharing in governance of extractive industries
We are looking for your input! The Artisanal Gold Council (AGC) is constructing a bibliography; your contributions are greatly appreciated and will directly forward the mission of improving the ASGM sector and the livelihoods of the people involved in it.
The AGC is participating in the preparatory phase of the Global Opportunities for Long-term Development of ASGM Sector - the GEF GOLD Programme. This set of projects is aimed at reducing the use of mercury in the ASGM sector and will involve the introduction of low and non-mercury technologies and techniques.
As part of these activities, the AGC is compiling a bibliography of existing literature on technical approaches to reducing mercury use in artisanal and small scale mining. This bibliography will be used to inform programs, projects, ASGM communities, and help to populate the GEF-GOLD knowledge base.
We are polling individuals or groups or organisations or businesses who produce, collect, and/or track literature (including marketing and trade information) related to technical solutions for mercury reduction in the ASGM sector. We are interested in receiving a list of publications on this topic that you have created, contributed to, or are aware of.
If you or your organisation wishes to contribute to this bibliography for the purposes of the GEF GOLD Project, please send your contributions to Rachel Deloughery at firstname.lastname@example.org and myself at email@example.com
The deadline for submissions is June 23rd.
