Hi Jasmin

Thank you for your message!

Bellow is a brief introduction about me so that you and the other members can learn more about the projects I have been involved in:

Mauro Pedro is a Mozambican specialised legal consultant, and got his first law Degree - LLB (Hons) in Mozambique. During college, Mauro won the "VdAcademia Award" for his work on "Land Use and Benefit: Present and Future". In 2012, he was considered the best graduate student of ISCTEM Law School and won an internship and an opportunity to work for VdA - Vieira de Almeida e Associados, a Chambers Band 1 Law Firm in Lisbon, Portugal. In Lisbon, he spent most of the time working on matters related to energy, natural resources and infrastructure – contractual transactions linked to ongoing projects in Mozambique; which called his attention and led to specialise in the area. The University of Dundee in Scotland was his chosen place for specialisation. At the age of 22, Mauro attended between January and December 2013 a Master's Program - LLM Master of Laws at the Centre for Energy Petroleum and mineral Law and Policy 'CEPMLP' of the University of Dundee, as a Rio Tinto scholar. During that year, Mauro represented the LLM students of the Centre in meetings of the Student Committee and represented CEPMLP at the meeting of institutional evaluation and improvement. He also made a big impact when he presented on Public-Private-Partnership PPP - Role in Infrastructure Finance Public Economics in Developing Countries at Rio Tinto's headquarters during an academic visit to London. The same presentation was given to a delegation from Malawi Department of Mines, during a visit to CEPMLP in December 2013. After finishing his program, Mauro was invited to join Latham & Watkins LLP (one of the best and most highly recommended law firms in World) in London as International Junior legal Adviser due to his professional and academic profile. After London, Mauro joined Webber Wentzel for a 6 month training with the of Oil & Gas team of firm. In 2015, he created a "consortium" between the Community Insight Group and the Ferro & Ferro Mozambique, where he is an External CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)Consultant. In the same year, Mauro decided to make use of the knowledge and contacts he acquired from all over the world during his years of training in the area to conceive and create SYNERGOS consultants in Mozambique in order to offer a differentiated service to the market.
