UNDP seeks an international consultant for writing a guidance note on "Strengthening Human Rights and Rule of Law in Environmental Public Administration of the Mining Sector". See consultancy details (duties and responsibilities) and the application process here.

The application deadline is on 2 October 2016 (Midnight New York, USA).

This report will be carried out as part of the UNDP-SEPA joint Global Programme on "Environmental Governance for Sustainable Natural Resource Management".

Marit is currently working as a Technical Advisor/ Program Manager on Extractive Industries at UNDP Mozambique. Her responsibilities include monitoring developments in the mineral sector at global, regional and national levels, particularly on governance of extractive industries and identifying emerging issues and trends that affect the African Mineral Sector, among others.
