When will Uganda finally get its oil from the ground. It is taking forever, even the experts who confirmed 2010 did not get it right!

Emmanuel-I have just sent an invitation to Emmanuel Kuyole of RWI Ghana who was at Wilton Park. They have a journalist training coming up in Ghana ( http://extractiveindustries.ning.com/events/rwi-journalist-training ) so perhaps they may find this group useful.

kathrin,

Thanks for your comment. That is what I am starting with now. But for medium and long term I think there is a need to keep members updated about the EI not only in Uganda but also EAC and Africa as a whole. I agree with you that other members will comment. Already I have invited more journalists to join the platform

Hi Ibrahim.
I think this is a really interesting group that you started.
Maybe you could share some of your own experience on reporting in Uganda on EI issues? Also, if you have tips and resources that other journalists might find useful, you could share them here.
I am sure other members will write back and share their own experiences and resources.
Thanks!
Kathrin

Great,
Thanks Kathy for joining MEI. I would like you to advise me on how we should keep this group so interactive. I am really willing to be involved in improving the is social interaction but I need you advise. Could you put down some of the ideas I can consider?
