Specialist In Dialogue, Mediation and Conflict Transformation. Lawyer, mediator and facilitator. With graduate studies in strategic management of social organizations, focusing on human-scale development and participatory processes. She worked as a consultant for UNDP and the Carter Center in Venezuela, mainly as coordinator of a peace-building program and assisting on the negotiation and facilitation process between government and opposition (2003-2005). She was also consultant to the Democratic Dialogue Regional Project of UNDP-LAC Bureau (2006-2009). During this consultancy she was involved in the design and development of dialogue processes and strengthening of a dialogue practitioners network in Latin America and the Caribbean. She participated as a teacher in UNDP's Virtual School (2008). Through different work experiences and training courses, Ana has worked with schollars as William Ury, Jhonn Paul Lederach, Sara Cobb, Graciela Tapia, Francisco Diez, Marinés Suares, among others, deepened conceptual frames related to conflict and the strategies to address, especially the theories of conflict transformation and dialogue.
Since 2011, she works as a consultant for Fundación para el Cambio Democrático, focusing on the development of collaborative advocacy on public policies. Since 2013 she is Executive Director of FCD.
