About My Work
I am organisational design and management ergonomist, with extensive experience in the resources industry. Through developing and contributing to strategic responses to change at national, industry and enterprise levels, I have been able to influence national policy development, industry strategies and enterprise programs to more effectively target improved health, safety, environment and community (HSEC) and organisational performance in the resources industry, principally in Australia and across Africa. This work has included a number of Australian and international projects involving organizational and institutional capacity building, with a particular focus on governance of the oil, gas and mining industries.
More recent international work includes a number of scoping and design projects for AusAID, developing proposals for projects dealing with mining sector governance in Liberia, Rwanda, Mozambique, Zambia, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. Previously, I undertook a project for South Africa’s Mine Health and Safety Council, preparing an organisational culture transformation strategy for the mining industry in the Republic of South Africa.
