Dr. Claudia Ituarte-Lima is researcher on international environmental law at Stockholm Resilience Centre and associate researcher at the Institute of Latin American Studies at Stockholm University. She specialises in legal and governance transformations for sustainability and environmental justice. Her research has examined the transformation of international law into new governance forms at the national and local scales with a focus on biodiversity, climate and human rights nexus. She acts as expert advisor for the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Intergovernmental Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.
