About My Work
I have over 12 years of work experience related to consular affairs, business administration, marketing and social work. I work as Consular Office Manager at the Honorary Consulate of Germany and Finland. My job as negotiator and advocate started my second day at work, when I started visiting European detainees and I got involved in the field of Human Rights and Development. In the last 12 years I had the opportunity to experiment the reality of Detention Centers in Ecuador. Together with the Guayas Public Defender's Office, Austrian Consulate, British Consulate, Women Detention Center and Men Detention Centers, we set up a plan that covered several areas such as medical care, education, social innovation and sustainable development.
Since 2006, I had the honor to collaborate with Kairos Foundation, which focuses in offering a better quality of life for children and youth, who are in state of neglect, abuse and social risk. At the beginning I was in charge of the recruiting of volunteers, but later I established the "Sunday Training Program". We started offering tutoring classes for kids, and ended up teaching vocational skills to the parents. We could engage children and their parents to work together towards their future. Since then I have been organising periodically entrepreneurship courses for the most unfortunate people, and last year we started conducting this program with Lions Club International.
In 2011 I founded the company "Lattte Postre Bar", and since 2012 I created a Social Responsibility Program for my company, where I worked directly with issues that affected our environment. Some of the programs that I implemented include waste management, up-cycling, community engagement and PoS for several CSOs/NGOs.
At the moment I'm working with the Women Detention Center in a project of reforestation, urban gardening and composting. We expect to conduct the same project in the two Men Detention Centers in Guayaquil.
During the last 2 years I've been also working in other projects related to sustainability and education. Last year I was trained by the Climate Reality Leadership Corps in Houston as a Climate Reality Leader, and a couple of months later I was also invited to be part of the NGO Diálogo Energético, Minero y Extractivo Latinoamericano as the Director in Ecuador, since then we have been working with my colleagues in Chile to conduct some projects related to the mining sector.
