About My Work
Introducing mining companies with outperforming CSR to sustainability-focused investors worldwide - including social impact entrepreneurs, philanthropists, ethical funds and other financial institutions. While mining and extractive sector operations have massive footprints around the globe, moreover, they also have potential to be catalysts for change.

Only now are investors trending toward sustainability in risk mitigation terms: Lose a social license to operate, that is, and lose everything. With billions addressing climate change and development needs in the global south, meanwhile, few industries are better poised to advance such positive transformations writ-large. In 2013, for instance, more than a dozen top mining CEOs gathered for a quiet "day of reflection" at the Vatican.

It was no coincidence. Indeed, when it comes to investing in sustainability, there are few better bets than the global mining industry. By exposing miners and other extractive businesses to this emerging investment class with a social conscience, my specialty capacities further include strategic outreach across media platforms, multi-stakeholder engagement and technical advisory services.

Energy Urgency: Why the Global Mining Industry is Embracing Renewables

Posted on April 6, 2017 at 5:05 0 Comments

In recent months, events across three continents showed how clean energy use by the mining industry, which consumes 11 percent of global energy, can mitigate climate change on a planet where 2,000 mechanized mines struggle with fuel prices, carbon emissions and ever-increasing logistical challenges.

Moreover, Hindustan Zinc Ltd. in India, Redavia Solar and IAMGOLD Corp. in Africa and Chile’s copper mining giants…
