Served the United Nations Stabilization Mission for the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) and United Nations Agency for Migration (IOM) in their respective mandates to restore peace and security in conflict-affected zones in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and the Sub-Region. These mandates include the protection of human rights, fight against human trafficking, border protection and illegal trafficking of natural resources through border posts of entry. Successfully trained more than 700 government and civil society agents and border protection officers on artisanal mining formalization, security analysis, risk mitigation, and international due diligence guidelines on conflict minerals.
