On a daily basis I actively engage in action research on natural resources governance and civil society engagement with the aim of influencing policies and actions at all levels aimed at safeguarding the environment and promoting sustainable development. I facilitate engagement with households, community groups and businesses so that together potentials can be harnessed to build sustainable and resilient communities. In leading the Action Group on Governance and Environmental Management (AGGEM), my key role is to stimulate bottom-up, self-help, community driven interventions and participatory approaches that place communities as co-creators of knowledge and practical solutions to the current and emerging community challenges.
