The Nigerian Natural Resource Charter is part of the global initiative - the Natural Resource Charter (NRC) which aims to support resource-rich countries to harness the economic opportunities of extractive resource. The NNRC is operational in Nigeria and is being used as a a tool and knowledge base for governments and civil society groups to refer to and avoid the mismanagement of diminishing natural riches and ensure the realization of its benefits now and in the future.
