CIRDI is an independent centre of expertise in natural resource-led sustainable development. We draw on a wealth of Canadian expertise, the academic rigour of our university roots and the technical know-how of our global partner mix, to provide customized, leading-practice advice, technical support, training and applied research – with the ultimate goal of poverty reduction.
The three focus areas of our work are:
a) Strengthening public sector capacity and governance
b) Transforming Artisanal and Small-scale Mining (ASM)
c) Addressing climate change and environmental sustainability.
