Job Title: PhD student

About My Work: I am a PhD research student at the University of East Anglia, School of Economics. In my thesis I aim to cover topics on economic growth with focus on Latin America. I argue about the crucial role that natural resources plays in these economies (mainly oil, but also other mineral and agriculture resources) since the colonial period.

Furthermore, I am working on an analysis of the impact of oil exports in the economy of Ecuador since the discovery of the oil fields in 1960s and the effects of the last commodity crises in this economy.
