We are recruiting for the position of an (International) Short - Term Curriculum Expert for a skills programme, which aims to enable East African women, men and young people to gain employment and economic opportunities in resource-based industries and adjacent sectors. It will qualify vocational education and training (VET) students and graduates for jobs in the supply chain of upcoming natural resource investments and adjacent sectors, through the establishment of two career centers at public VET institutions and the provision of short technical courses according to the needs of the private sector.

He/She will:
* Provide advisory services to The Vocational and Educational Training Authority (VETA) on curriculum development of short courses and sustainability of short courses
* Adapt existing short course curricula to the needs of the private sector
* Assist the process of skills gap identification amongst industry partners

He/She must possess:
* Minimum of a Master's in social sciences, economics, education, pedagogy or other relevant field
* A minimum of 10 years' professional experience in the field of TVET and curriculum development, as well as experience with the CBET approach and DACUM
* Work experience in the private sector
* Strong knowledge of Tanzanian educational and cultural context
* Excellent spoken and written English obligatory
* Working experience in Africa obligatory, preferably East Africa
