sharing in governance of extractive industries
The Crown Agents Foundation has successfully hosted its workshop in collaboration with Liberia's Ministry of Finance. Entitled 'Maximizing revenue from Extractive Industry: Getting it right from the start', the workshop was held at Cape Hotel, Monrovia from November 12th to 14th.
The workshop saw participation from several institutions within Liberia, including the Ministry of Finance, Revenue Authority, NOCAL and the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy. Also in attendance were representatives from Sierra Leone's National Revenue Authority, National Minerals Agency and Petroleum Directorate as well as Ghana's Revenue Authority.
The World Bank, UNDP and International Tax Dialogue also provided international expertise, whilst Consultants from Crown Agents provided several presentations.
