Measuring the "non-fiscal" impacts of extractive projects - project and brief survey

The Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) is gathering information on the various tools and methodologies used by governments, extractive companies, multilaterals, donors, academics, consulting companies and civil society organisations to measure the non-fiscal costs and benefits of the extractive sector.

We are particularly interested in tools and methods that assess the various forms of 'capital' that are impacted by extractive projects, such as natural capital, social capital, political capital, financial capital, physical capital, human capital, cultural capital and spiritual capital.

To help identify which tools and methods are being used by the global community, we’ve developed a questionnaire that should take about 10 minutes to complete. See this link to complete a quick survey, or find out more about the project http://tinyurl.com/jzgnb88

Please fill out this questionnaire if you have an interest in the social and environmental impacts of the extractive sector. You may be working in academe, industry, a civil society organisation, a multilateral organisation or donor, a consulting company, or a government agency with responsibility for extractive projects.

We are also looking to identify others who are working on tools, methods and best-practice frameworks to measure non-fiscal impacts in the extractive sector.

If you have any questions about the survey or would like to discuss the project, please contact me directly through Goxi or the contact details on the first page of the survey.
