Vivo Energy Ghana, Wins CIMG Petroleum Company of the Year

    Vivo Energy Ghana, distributors and marketers of Shell branded products, has been awarded the Petroleum Company of the year 2014 by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) for its outstanding performance, including increasing its market share from 11% to 14% and taking over the market leadership position for the Oil Marketing Industry.

The Petroleum Company of the Year Award was presented by the Industry Coordinator of the Association of Oil Marketing Companies (AOMC) Mr. Kweku Agyemang-Duah and received by the Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana, Mr. Ebenezer Faulkner.

A press release from the Company noted that the Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana Limited, Mr. Ebenezer Faulkner expressed his appreciation for the award saying: “there are over 80 Oil Marketing Companies in Ghana and we feel very proud to be selected as Petroleum Company of the Year. We want to thank our cherished customers for their loyalty and commitment to the Shell brand over the years and also commend our hardworking staff and retailers for their dedication and commitment to business excellence”.

Mr. Faulkner added that Vivo Energy Ghana has an ambitious plan for rapid expansion and the company will continue to harness the reputation of the Shell brand to bring Shell’s high-quality products to the widest audience - setting new benchmarks for innovation, convenience, service and reliability in Ghana. “Last year Vivo Energy Ghana, opened 24 new service stations across the country – more openings than in any of the other countries across Africa where we operate.

This year we have continued to develop, opening over 20 new stations so far, launching a new innovative product, Shell FuelSave, and bringing convenience retail offerings to our service stations to meet the demands of our customers.” said Faulkner. Mr. Faulkner further assured customers that Shell will continue to offer high quality fuels at competitive prices with superior customer service at its service stations in this era of price deregulation.

He dedicated the award to all customers, staff and stakeholders for making Vivo Energy proud. The prestigious CIMG Award, was initiated in 1989 to create awareness of marketing and its importance for the success of businesses. The event, which was attended by the crème de la crème of the business community in Ghana, was based on the theme" The Future of Marketing: Evolve or Die".
