sharing in governance of extractive industries

A weekly digest of activity on GOXI

How can mining companies incorporate the SDGs into their business and operations, validate their current efforts, and spark new ideas? The United Nations Development Programme, the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI), and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UNSDSN) have collaborated to produce a draft document for that purpose and ask for your input.

Byambajav Dalaibuyan takes us through a brief history of extractives contracts in Mongolia and offers some ways to push for more transparency.

This blog, shared by Sarah Busque, recognizes that "the identification and documentation of all individuals that will be economically or physically impacted by a project" is easier said than done, and offers some thoughts on the matter.

And Johannes Danz shares research on linkages in the Southern African mining sector.

These and more jobsblogsphotosvideos, and discussions.
