Nicholas Maennling leads the economics and policy research at the Columbia Center for Sustainable Investment (CCSI). He is an economist with experience in the public and private sectors, having worked extensively in Timor-Leste and Mozambique advising governments on the development of the countries' natural resource sectors. At CCSI, he works to develop practical approaches for governments, investors, communities and other stakeholders to maximize the benefits of extractive industry investments for sustainable development.
