Inga Petersen is currently acting as a senior extractives advisor to UNEP, focusing on building a business plan and a stakeholder engagement strategy for the MAP-X partnership. MAP-X is an integrated platform which aggregates, authenticates and publishes geo-spatial data about the environmental, social and financial impacts of the extractive industries. Inga formerly worked as a Senior Manager for the Mining and Metals industries at the World Economic Forum (WEF). She supported implementation of the Responsible Mineral Development Initiative (RMDI) and managed the Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Mining and Metals. Previously, Inga worked as a senior manager in Adam Smith International’s extractive industries team, delivering technical assistance programmes to support EI governance in countries ranging from South Sudan, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Tanzania, Afghanistan and Mongolia.
