Very true. Early Engagement and spending time to create a full understanding of the project phases, opportunities and challenges will go a long way to building bridges and getting meaningful and sustainable community partnerships.
The process stated by the author is excellent yet there are places in the indigenous domain that is not negotiable by any form of agreement because its destruction in any form is the elimination of the tribe, their water sources, burial grounds other tangibles and even intangibles. These are not objects or subjects of agreements whether its favorable to the tribes, investor or to both.

Dear Steve, this is excellent! We have also looked at some case stories that worked in Australia and Canada, and indeed you are very right.
