This is a very useful and well written article by Maame.
With respect to sexual abuse related to ASM in the DRC, a very useful resource is the research done by the Peace Researh Institute in Oslo, led by Dr Siri Aas Rustad. This research looks at abuse of women in the environs of the mines, and in particular where armed groups are present, complementing the research linked to above re. abuse of female ASM miners themselves in the DRC.
