That's a good question and there are lots of studies out there but all looking at different aspects and related to different commodities. So there is a need for more synthesis type papers. There are a few synthesise around on economic effects (e.g. by Van der Ploeg) and we have done some synthesis work here at CSIRO. E.g. one our synthesis papers on regional effects for fossil fuels is available here for download (http://dx.doi.org//10.1016/j.gloenvcha.2015.12.002 ) - if you have any problems accessing the paper let me know and I can send you a pdf (likewise happy to forward to anyone else interested in this topic).

Thank you Thomas, I have only browsed your article but it seems to be very useful and I will certainly read it in detail. Meanwhile I continue my search for other work on this topic.
