Hi Gilbert, thanks for this analysis. I agree - after this step the EITI-community will need to fight even harder to continue the success story of the EITI. We need to be able to show positive impact of EITI implementation and move beyond good will and intentions. I am convinced that the EITI does add value to a resource based development strategy - we will need to show this in facts and figures. Well said, USA's withdrawal from EITI has collateral damages to resource rich African countries like Zimbabwe which are yet to join EITI. USA, as a global power, should be exemplary on governance of extractives
