Interesting and great article. And now the wave of transparency reforms we are witnessing must serve a notice to American Petroleum Institute that a change has occurred in the extractive industry. A change that will empower local people tom demand equitable and prudent use of extractive revenues. These reforms are very positive for unpacking the infamous resource curse. What's next? There are more to do than what has been realised. How do we get governments to act within the remit of these transparency laws. Enforcement is very important. And the civil society must continue to press for enforcement of these laws on the ground.
