You are right Christiane. These are reflective of contemporary Takoradi with the emergence of the oil find. I just visited the area and Takoradi has changed.

As part of my journalistic work, I visited Bonyere where a gas processing plant is to be sited by the government. The agitations of the people are worthy of consideration.

The oil curse is reeling its presence in the city. In a chart with some indigenes, rents are high and plan to go further off the center to get reduced rents.
