Really interesting stuff, thanks. Thought it worth mentioning that after the recent EITI board meeting in Myanmar, NRGI, PWYP, and Cordaid organised training by oil and gas companies for civil society on contracts, and this included some basic modelling. They're planning to repeat the exercise elsewhere, I believe.
It also seems that there could be a role for universities here? As a former student who had to complete dry, boring modelling examples, wouldn't real life modelling done for / with civil society be more inspiring and useful?
