The course introduces learners to planning and preparation of the just transition process on the example of the Eastern Greater Poland (Wielkopolska) region. Building on the key regulatory frameworks explained in the Course 1, it further offers an overview of the Energy Community acquis, including climate goals resulting from decarbonisation of local economies. The course also tackles the socio-economic implications of the coal transition on various sectors and professions. In addition, it explains how to develop strategies and implement effective programs to build resilience of local communities, create new economic opportunities, and improve living standards of the affected inhabitants.
