Jax Jacobsen is a Paris-based freelance reporter and writer covering the extractive industries, with a focus on mining, Canadian indigenous issues, and environmentally responsible mining. She was S&P Global Mining Intelligence's Canadian mining reporter until 2016, and then worked for the International Council on Mining and Metals as a senior communications officer. She's also been published by CIM Magazine, Mining Magazine, and Natural Resources Magazine, as well as the Montreal Gazette, The New Statesman, The GUardian, Global Trade Review, the Committee to Protect Journalists, The Financial Diet, Muck Rack, and other publications.
She holds a Master's degree in Journalism from City University London, a Master's degree in Political Science from McGill University.
